Catherine Kaufer
I am the founder of Embracing Life, a faith-centered community and experiential learning program hosted at Redeemer Ranch in Reno, Nevada.
I support women who are navigating loss, change, uncertainty, grief, and major life transitions—especially those who feel disconnected from themselves, unsure of what comes next, or ready to find a new way forward.
Through faith-centered workshops, private mentoring, community experiences, and horse-led learning, I help women become more aware of what they are carrying, strengthen confidence and healthy boundaries, reconnect with God, and move forward with greater peace, clarity, hope, and purpose.
My work is shaped by my own journey of learning to release, trust, and embrace life again. I believe meaningful change often begins when we slow down, become present, and allow ourselves to notice what is happening within us.
Horses are an important part of that process. Their honest, nonjudgmental responses can help us recognize patterns around pressure, communication, trust, boundaries, presence, and connection in a way that is deeply experiential.
I am certified in Faith-Based Equine Assisted Philosophy™ (FBEAP) and in Equine Assisted Learning (EAL) through Equine Connection.
Her story
After the loss of her husband in 2015, Cathy dedicated her life to helping others heal through connection, prayer, and her registered therapy animals. She combines equine wisdom, ministry, and practical tools to guide women beyond grief, fear, and shame into freedom and renewed hope.
Based in Reno, Nevada, Cathy has been a Realtor since 1998, using her real estate work to support the ministry that is closest to her heart. She often says she is a Realtor by trade, but her passion is ministry, and that spirit guides every part of her life.
